We pride ourselves on providing the Fort Wayne area with Mexican food that is not only fast, but fresh as well. With no freezers at any of our Salsa Grille locations you can be sure to enjoy a delicious meal, and it isn’t just our ingredients that are freshly purchased and used. Here’s what we mean.
Much of our food product is bought from George’s International Market, located in downtown Fort Wayne off Broadway and Taylor Street. The meat we buy is fresh and ready to be molded into the flavors you know and love. Once it’s delivered, our work starts as we cut and season each meat to perfection. Some of our meats, like our Ancho Chili Chicken or our Verde Chicken Chimichurri are left to marinate while our Carne Asada (steak) and Carne Molida (ground beef) are cooked up and served right away. Included in this preparation category is our tofu. Like our corn tortillas for tacos, our tofu is is made to order. It doesn’t get fresher than that!
Everything on our hot side of the line, including our meats, queso, and grilled veggies, are all prepared in the morning before we open and throughout the day as needed. This means you’re getting freshly melted queso along with veggies that have been rinsed, sliced, and then grilled to perfection.
On the cooler side of things, we have our freshly bought, washed, and sliced lettuce, onion, cilantro, and tomatoes. Our corn relish isn’t can bought; we make it in each of our kitchens fresh each day as we cut and mix the ingredients and seasonings. The same is true of our delicious pico de gallo. Those tomatoes don’t core themselves! We add those freshly chopped tomatoes with sweet onion, fresh squeezed lime, finely chopped jalapeños, and fresh chopped cilantro. That’s right, even our jalapeños are washed and sliced the same day! That way, you can enjoy the heat that only freshly cut jalapeños can give. It probably doesn’t come as a surprise, but our guacamole and our two Fiesta Taco Salad sauces (Red Chili Caesar dressing & Tomatillo Lime Ranch dressing) are carefully made fresh in our kitchen each day as well.
Last but not least, our iconic Salsa Bar isn’t made from canned sauces either. We mix all the ingredients fresh each day, and in some cases, we grill them, like with our grilled pineapple salsa. And what could pair better with freshly made salsas than delicious chips? You’ve likely already guessed it, but our free chips are also made fresh daily! We are also continuously working to have gluten free chips at all of our locations.
