If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that there is an unsung hero at each of our locations, and that’s the fresh-made churros. That’s right, if you’ve ever had them, you know they come out piping hot! Why is that? Because just like our corn tortillas, our churros are made custom to each order. That means they come out hot and coated in delicious cinnamon and sugary goodness!
Besides being fresh and tasty, our churros have a few other surprises as well. You may not know this, but when it comes to catering, our churros are a hit! Not only are they featured in our burrito boxed lunches, they have also been known to make their way into catering orders for weddings, birthdays, graduation parties, anniversaries, and more. Now, for those particular events, we are able to do more than just our regular churro. If you’ve ever been to George’s International Market, then you probably know where this is going!
Right, again! We have three different varieties of churros! Well, they’re available for catering orders only. Although, if you visit our Taquería location, you could always hop next door to the bakery and pick up some of the other flavors as well. So, what are these other flavors that we keep eluding to? We’re talking about our vanilla, caramel, and strawberry filled churros.
You may be thinking the vanilla and caramel flavors make sense, but strawberry? Don’t knock it till you try it! The strawberry filled churro is incredibly popular, and super delicious. Now, it’s not exactly what you may be picturing. Those aren’t full strawberries stuffed inside the inner core of the churro, but rather, it’s more the consistency of a strawberry jam, and it is oh, so good!
We do recommend trying each churro flavor before placing a large order of them for catering. That’s why we recommend checking out the George’s International Market’s in-store bakery and trying each churro individually. Make an event of it and share some churros with your friends. Everyone loves a good comparison taste-test! And, in case you’re wondering why we keep promoting a grocery store, it just so happens to be the grocery store where we get all of our fresh produce and it’s where the bulk orders for churros come from. We love keeping things local and supporting local, and this is just one of the many ways we do that.
