It isn’t always easy spotting or keeping track of gluten free options, that’s why we’ve compiled our list of gluten free menu items into this one blog! You may have already noticed that our online ordering has gluten free symbols next to the sides, extras, salsas and chips, but did you know you can spot those same gluten free options in our menu when you order? That’s right! Our online menu also breaks down the gluten free items in entrees. Those items have a GF next to their titles so you can easily distinguish them.

When it comes to ordering, the first step is to decide what entrees start off gluten free and which ones do not. Take our Fiesta Taco Salad for example. The flour tortilla is clearly not a friendly option for those wishing to go gluten free; however, did you know you can order the Fiesta Taco Salad without the shell? Instead of a shell, we simply put the meats and toppings of your choice into a bowl. This allows the Fiesta Taco Salad to be a gluten free option! Just make sure to not add gluten containing items to it.

While that was an easy fix, our flour and hard-shell tacos contain gluten. Instead, order our corn tortillas and enjoy some Salsa Grille gluten free tacos! Our burritos and quesadillas are likewise a no-go, but our bowl and nachos (only at Salsa Grille North, Northeast, and Coventry) are gluten free. At the Taquería, the Torta sandwich has gluten, but the Tamales and Elotes are gluten free.

Going back to those nachos and chips. You may have noticed we left out the Taquería. Our other locations have kitchens with dedicated chip fryers. Because of that, these chips avoid cross contamination with the gluten containing taco salad shells. Just because the chips that come with your meal at the Taqueria are not gluten free, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy gluten free chips there. Each of our locations have chips for sale in bags that are gluten free. You may have seen the El Milagro chips around the store, and these are the ones we’re talking about.
